Errors are preventing players from actually playing.
Destiny 2 The Final Shape is out now, but users are reporting errors when trying to access to the new content.
Mostly, users are reporting the “Currant” error code when trying to access The Final Shape‘s campaign missions. I’ve encountered that one quite a lot myself, alongside the “Cabbage” error.
“Having this issue too but with the first mission ‘Transcendence’,” wrote one of many users on Reddit. “I got right to the end and unlocked Prismatic and even have the seasonal challenge unlock to say I’ve completed that mission but when I go to progress it still only shows ‘Transcendence’ and when I try to load in I get currant immediately.”
At the very least, those who try to get into the mission will be able to check out a VERY flashy set of opening cinematics. We’ve got a capture of that for you above (after it’s finished encoding), if you’re curious.
I’m a longtime Destiny 2 fan, though I’ve not been playing for the last few years — I’m curious to see if things make sense, or if I’m in way over my head. Time will tell… provided I can actually play. Stay tuned for my thoughts, alongside those of proper Destiny 2 veteran Hamish (when he’s back from a Japanese holiday, that is).
Destiny 2 The Final Shape is now available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS5.
