Destiny 2 Rockstar Energy Drinks, Pop Tarts will earn you in-game gear, XP boosts

Activision will team up with Rockstar Energy Drink and Pop Tarts to offer in-game gear for Destiny 2, it was today revealed.

Internationally — or at least in the USA, Canada, UK and Germany — Rockstar Energy Drink will offer limited edition Destiny 2 cans (above). They’ll come with redemption codes that can be used for in-game gear. Codes can be redeemed here from 1 September.

In the USA, Pop Tarts will offer up Destiny 2-themed boxes (below) that will come with codes that offer an XP boost. Those codes can be redeemed here from 1 September.

“In collaboration with Rockstar Energy Drink and Pop-Tarts, we chose strategic, renowned lifestyle partners in major markets to bring the Destiny 2 universe to life,” said Activision’s Byron Beede in a press release. “We’re bringing these partners together to complement the overwhelming excitement of Destiny 2’s launch with benefits that reward players both inside and outside of the universe.”

We’ve reached out to Activision Australia to see if Aussies get similar opportunities for XP boosts and gear.

Destiny 2 heads to Xbox One and PS4 from 6 September, and Windows PC from 24 October.
