Destiny 2 Forsaken Annual Pass won’t include new planets

The content in the Destiny 2 Forsaken Annual Pass will not include new planets, but it will include new locations in the form of “bubbles,” Bungie recently confirmed.

Speaking with Polygon, Project Lead Scott Taylor made — and clarified — details of the incoming content.

“We’re going to have new places to check out,” Taylor said. “Sorry, I should be specific. What we call ‘bubbles’ or new spaces; I’m not saying new planets.”

The Annual Pass will include three add-ons: Black Armory, Joker’s Wild and Penumbra. A recent vidoc, shown below, teases locations like an underground bunker and a return to The Leviathan.

No “new planets” likely means we’ll see new locations on existing planets, or perhaps even a return to locations from the original Destiny. Time will tell.

Destiny 2 Forsaken heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 from 3.00pm AEST on 5 September. We’ve previewed the expansion’s campaign and the new Gambit PvPvE mode earlier today.
