Destiny 2 Exotic duplicate fix comes this week

A Destiny 2 Exotic duplicate fix is coming to PC and consoles this week, Bungie has confirmed.

“When you’re receiving an exotic, we will take into account all exotics you’ve found, and weight them against Exotics you have yet to acquire; this lowers the chances of receiving Exotics you already own,” Bungie said of the fix, coming with an update on 31 October.

Exotics received from quests — such as the Ace of Spades, MalfeasanceWish Ender and more — will not drop from an Exotic Engram, Bungie added. Moreover, Armor pieces will be more common.

The update will also rename Masterwork Cores as Enhancement Cores. The new cores, used to infuse gear, will also be easier to obtain.

Destiny 2 is available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
