Destiny 2 cross-play beta on now

And doesn't last long!

Destiny 2 cross-play beta is on now, offering the chance for Guardians to try out the looter shooter with friends on other platforms.

Running now until 28 May here in Australia, the cross-play beta opens up a new Vanguard Strike playlist which will match you with fellow Guardians on platforms other than your own.

Everyone is able to jump into the beta, and those who complete three Strikes doing so will receive a new Stars Crossed emblem for their troubles. A future beta will include activities like the Crucible.

The nature of this particular beta means players will not be able to selectively matchmake with friends; if all goes well, that comes later with the actual introduction of cross-play.

Developer Bungie accidentally turned cross-play on earlier in the month with the introduction of Destiny 2‘s newest season.

Destiny 2 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Stadia.
