Deathloop is a Dishonored game, Bethesda confirms

We KNEW it!

Deathloop is a Dishonored game, Bethesda and Arkane have recently confirmed.

While we’ve assumed as much in the past — in a video I made way back in the day, I kept calling Cole’s Shift ability Blink instead — Arkane’s Dinga Bakaba has now made it official.

In a recent Xbox Podcast episode, Bakaba said that Deathloop is “one of the futures of the Dishonored world”.

“We envisioned Deathloop to be happening in the future, after [Dishonpred] Death of the Outsider,” he continued.

“There are a lot of clues in the game, actually. There are some that are abused. One of them is really spoiler-y, so voila. But there are a lot of small things, and some that were under people’s noses all the time, but people are just figuring out.”

Bakaba pointed out that a Dunwall Tower logo is present on one of Deathloop‘s best weapons, the Heritage Gun.

“On the side, there is a little logo that you can barely see,” Bakaba said. “But now that we’ve added idle breaks where the character plays with his guns, you can actually see that the logo is Dunwall Tower.”

Deathloop is available now on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PS5. It’s also available through Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. We reviewed it here.
