Dead Island 2 leaked ahead of (re-)reveal

Dead Island 2 has been leaked ahead of a full re-reveal by Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios.

Thanks to Wario64, we know about the title from a pre-order found over on Amazon. The listing also outs the title’s release date: 3 February 2023.

Dead Island 2 takes players across the most iconic locations of the City of Angels, now stained with horror, in an exciting pulp journey from the verdant suburbia of Beverly Hills to the quirky promenade of Venice Beach,” a description continues.

Dead Island 2 is a thrilling First-Person Action RPG that takes players across a brand-new playground. Stylish, vibrant and flooded with zombie infection, explore iconic, gore-drenched Los Angeles. Meet larger-than-life characters. Slay countless foes in exquisitely bloody detail. And evolve to become the ultimate Zombie Slayer. See you in HELL-A!”

The listing continues on to confirm there are “6 characters to choose from, each with their own unique personality and dialogues.”

A Day 1 Edition will include additional items for those looking to up their in-game inventories.

The title was first announced in 2014; in 2020 Deep Silver confirmed the title was still in development. It’s likely Deep Silver was planning an announcement timed for Gamescom later in the month.
