Dead Island 2 delayed to 28 April

Again. And again.

Dead Island 2 has been delayed to 28 April, Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver have announced overnight.

“The irony of delaying Dead Island 2 is not lost on us and we are as disappointed as you undoubtedly are,” reads a statement posted to Twitter.

“The delay is just 12 short weeks and development is on the final straight now,” it continued. “We’re going to take the time we need to make sure we can launch a game we’re proud to launch.”

Dead Island 2 was first announced in 2014; Dambuster took over development back in 2019.

We’ll have more on Dead Island 2 in the lead up to launch, but in the meantime check out a recent preview here.

Expect Dead Island 2 on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5 from 28 April.
