DC Universe Online PS3 support goes offline in January 2018

DC Universe Online PS3 servers will soon be shut down, Daybreak Game Company has recently announced.

Support will officially end on 31 January 2018, Daybreak advised.

Despite the news, all’s not lost — those who join the game on PS4 using the same PlayStation Network account will have their player info, subscriptions and DLC purchases transfer over to the current-gen console.

DC Universe Online launched on Windows PC and PS3 in January 2011, back when Daybreak was known as Sony Online Entertainment. Daybreak rebranded itself in 2015, and the game itself was made available on both Xbox One and PS4 in 2016.

DC Universe Online will remain available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
