Days Gone PS5 remaster upgrade not available to PlayStation Plus owners

Didn't buy it outright? You can't upgrade.

An upcoming Days Gone PS5 remaster offers a $10 USD upgrade for those who own it — however, Sony has confirmed that those who access the title via PlayStation Plus aren’t eligible for it.

Specifically, Sony’s Bend Studio confirmed that the “PS4 game redemptions via PlayStation Plus are not eligible for upgrade,” meaning you had to need to purchase the title outright to be eligible for the upcoming upgrade.

“For players that have purchased Days Gone on PlayStation 4, you can upgrade to Days Gone Remastered including all new content and features for $10,” Bend added.

At present, the digital PS4 version of Days Gone retails for $59.95 AUD direct from the PlayStation Store, while a single physical copy sits on Amazon for $50 AUD.

We weren’t sold on the PS4 title in our review, saying, “Days Gone practically goes out of its way to hamper enjoyment; unoriginal yet decent systems are continually hampered by a lack of polish quite uncommon in Sony first-party titles.”

Days Gone is already available on PS4 and Windows PC. Expect the PS5 remaster from 25 April.
