Cyberpunk 2077 Switch release not planned, says CD Projekt Red

Cyberpunk 2077 Switch release is not being planned, CD Projekt Red recently asserted.

“Not as far as I know. Not yet,” CDPR’s John Mamais told On MSFT when asked of a Switch release.

“I don’t know if Cyberpunk 2077 would work on the Nintendo Switch,” Mamais continued. “It might be too heavy for it. But then, we did put Witcher 3 on it and we thought that would be too heavy too but somehow we pulled it off.”

As Mamais notes, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was eventually ported to Switch after its huge success on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 — that said, it looks more like a potato than an HD wonder.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently slated for a 17 September release across Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
