Cyberpunk 2077 new game plus mode teased by devs

A Cyberpunk 2077 new game plus mode is likely, according to a CD Projekt Red developer’s statement on stats and abilities.

Redditor CaptainGJB reached out to CD Projekt Red’s Pawel Sasko and asked if it would be possible to, “have a character with every stat/ability maxed out”, or if Cyberpunk 2077 would “be closer to [The Witcher 3] in that there’s limited upgrade slots?”

In reply, Sasko wrote, that “most likely it won’t be possible to max out everything on [one] playthrough, as it would have little sens to have a game that is about replayability and choices, while in the same time allow the players to max out all the stats on the first run.”

While this isn’t a direct confirmation, Sasko’s reply seems to indicate a new game plus mode will be available, allowing players to carry over stats and skills into a new game in order to earn more. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.

Cyberpunk 2077 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 16 April 2020.
