Cyberpunk 2077 current-gen release delayed to 2022; Witcher 3 too

Whoops.

Both The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 current-gen releases have been delayed to 2022, developer CD Projekt Red has today advised.

“Based on recommendations supplied by teams supervising the development of both games, we decided to postpone their releases until 2022,” the developer said on Twitter.

“Our current target for Cyberpunk 2077 is the first quarter of 2022, and the second quarter of 2022 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,” it continued.

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt will be free on PS5 and Xbox Series S & X to those who already own it on PS4 and Xbox One, CD Projekt Red has earlier confirmed. Its current-gen version will include its two major expansions alongside enhancements like ray-tracing, speedier loading times and more.

Both The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 are currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4; The Witcher 3 is also available on Switch.
