Crysis 4 announced by Crytek; is early in development

Time to upgrade your video card?

Crysis 4 was today announced by Crytek, with the studio revealing the sequel is quite early in development.

“A new Crysis game is happening,” Crytek CEO Avni Yerli confirmed in a new blog post.

“Right now the game is in the early stages of development so it will be a while yet, but we wanted to bring you the news at this time as we are so hyped for the future, and to let you know that we will be listening to our community,” Yerli continued.

“As development progresses we will release more details when we can,” Yerli added. “But in the meantime, know that our dedicated and talented team is working hard to bring you a truly next-gen shooter.”

The original Crysis was first released in 2007 and made a name for itself by requiring ridiculous high PC specs for the time.

We’ll have more on Crysis 4 as it is made available.
