Crackdown 3 silence is a good thing, says developer

Crackdown 3 silence is nothing to be worried about, says developer Sumo Digital.

Speaking with GamesIndustry.biz, Sumo Managing Director, Paul Porter, said players shouldn’t be worried over a lack of recent updates on the title.

Porter furthered that Sumo itself is “not used to being the ones shouting about it,” perhaps placing blame on the silence squarely on Microsoft.as the game’s mecently have worried many.

Regardless, Porter continued to say the game’s latest delay was essential as the extra time has been used by Sumo to “meet the expectations of that franchise.”

Adding that Sumo has learned from questionable design decisions in Crackdown 2 — and confirming it’s “not the route that’s been taken with Crackdown 3,” Porter concludes by saying his team is focusing on polishing the title.

“The release date’s moved back, confirmed as February next year, and that’s great news because it gives us the time to polish a game that’s pretty much done, but make it better and better. The way to make the best games is you finish them, then finish them again, and then finish them again. That’s what we’re doing with Crackdown 3.”

Are you worried about the state of Crackdown 3? Why or why not?

Crackdown 3 is scheduled for February 2019 on Windows PC and Xbox One.
