Cory Barlog’s dad is writing the God of War novelisation

Cory Barlog’s dad is writing the God of War novelisation, it was recently confirmed.

Author J.M. Barlog, also known in some circles as God of War Director Cory Barlog’s father, was confirmed as the tie-in’s author by Sony Santa Monica on Twitter.

J.M. Barlog is a young adult fiction writer who has previously teamed up with Cory on God of War 2 back in 2006.

“His vengeance against the Gods of Olympus years behind him, Kratos now lives as a man in the realm of Norse gods and monsters,” Titan Books said in a description of the upcoming novel.

“It is in this harsh, unforgiving world that he must fight to survive… and teach his son to do the same. This startling reimagining of God of War deconstructs the core elements that defined the series—satisfying combat; breathtaking scale; and a powerful narrative—and fuses them anew.”

The God of War novelisation is due 28 August, and will retail for $14.95 USD.

God of War is currently available on the PS4.
