CoD Black Ops 4 PS4 content exclusivity to last one week

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 PS4 content exclusivity was recently detailed by Sony and Activision Blizzard.

In good news for those playing on Windows PC and Xbox One, the PS4 exclusivity window has been shortened from 30-days to just 7-days. This means PS4 players will get new content first, but those on other platforms will only have to wait a single week to access it.

The change makes sense, really — the game is entirely multiplayer this iteration, offering the highly anticipated Blackout battle royale mode. Developer Treyarch has confirmed we’ll see more frequent, smaller post-launch content drops, so month-long exclusivity for said content seems a bit outdated.

Post-launch content will include both free and laid content; we already know we can expect new specialists and maps.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out October 12 on PC, PS4, Xbox One.
