Burnout Paradise servers will close in August

Burnout Paradise servers will close in August, developer Criterion has confirmed.

“Burnout Paradise fans, after over 11.5 years of service, the servers for the original 2008 game will be closing on August 1st 2019,” Criterion wrote on Twitter. “That affects Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions. Offline play will still be available of course, and Burnout Paradise Remastered servers are unaffected.”

As the developer mentioned, servers for Burnout Paradise Remastered, recently released to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4, will remain online. Despite being forced to by this move, perhaps it’s a decent time to upgrade?

We reviewed Burnout Paradise Remastered here. Are you playing either version of the game now? If so, which one?
