Bungie will consider to support Destiny “for the foreseeable future”

Detailing Destiny’s final live event, Age of Triumph, developer Bungie also confirmed it would support the title “for the foreseeable future.”

Though Bungie is hard at work on a sequel, Destiny 2, Bungie’s David ‘DeeJ’ Dague said they won’t forget about the original.

Destiny 1 will still be there. So if somebody wants to have a throwback night and go back and revisit the things that they loved about Destiny, they can,” DeeJ said.

The original title will also remain in place “if a new player were to discover this franchise [with Destiny 2] and say, ‘I have fallen in love with the world and I want to fully understand where it all began,'” he continued.

Age of Triumph kicks off in April, revitalising all Raids and giving players a chance to relive past victories ahead of Destiny 2.

Destiny is available on Xbox One and PS4.
