Bungie sumbits trademark application for ‘DestinyCon’

A search of the United States Patent and Trademark office reveals a new trademark submission by developer Bungie for ‘DestinyCon’.

The trademark application, found here, describes “education and entertainment services, namely, organizing and conducting fan conventions in the fields of video and computer games, more particularly in connection with the game Destiny.

It’s unclear if this means Bungie plans on organising its own convention, or if it’s merely protecting the term from use by other entities. There’s currently a fan-run Destiny convention in Florida, USA called GuardianCon.

We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.

Destiny is available now on Xbox One and PS4.
