Break Point is tennis’ answer to Drive to Survive

A 10-part tennis documentary starts later this month on Netflix.

Break Point is a 10-part tennis documentary that kicks off on Netflix later this month, and comes from the same team behind F1: Drive to Survive.

Break Point follows a select group of top tennis players on and off the court as they compete in grueling Grand Slams and tournaments all over the world,” Netflix said in a press release.

“Their dream: lifting a trophy and becoming number one. As some of tennis’ legends reach the twilight of their careers, this is a chance for a new generation to claim the spotlight. Break Point gets up close and personal with these players over a year competing across the globe in ATP and WTA tours.”

The series itself will be released in two parts — the first 5 episodes will be available from 13 January 2023, while the second lot of 5 episodes will follow in June.

There’s a distinct Aussie flavour in the series’ first episode, which follows both Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis. Episode two focuses on the Australian Open, while following episodes feature Indoian Wells, the Madrid Open and the French Open.

Take a look at a trailer below.

Expect Break Point from 13 January on Netflix.
