Borderlands movie release date set for 9 August 2024

That's correct: one full year from now.

The Borderlands movie now has a release date, though we’re going to be waiting for a while. At present, we can expect the film in theatres next year on 9 August 2024.

While this isn’t necessarily a sign of bad things to come, it should be noted that the film reportedly finished filming way back in June 2021. That is an insane amount of post-production, my friends.

Directed by Hostel‘s Eli Roth, the Borderlands movie is jam-packed with stars. Cate Blanchett stars as Lilith, joined by Kevin Hart (Roland), Arian Greenblatt (Tiny Tina), Jamie Lee Curtis (Tannis), Florian Munteanu (Krieg) and Jack Black (Claptrap).

There’s no trailer as yet for the film… so maybe that is a bad sign. We’ll leave that to you to ponder.

Expect the Borderlands movie from 9 August 2024. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
