Bethesda banning Fallout 76 players who enter the developer room

Bethesda has confirmed it is banning Fallout 76 players who enter the game’s secret developer room.

As we reported earlier this week, the secret room provides access to most items found within the game, including rare (or unreleased) items. Each item would fetch quite a bit on the in-game market. While it was rumoured that Bethesda was punishing players who accessed the room, said bans have now been confirmed.

“We are looking into accounts where players have obtained items by accessing areas of the game that are not intended for the public,” Bethesda wrote on its Polish language Facebook page (via Eurogamer).

“These areas are only accessible to PC players that are using 3rd party applications to get into these areas… In an effort to ensure the integrity of these characters and accounts, these accounts are being temporarily disabled pending further investigation.”

Stay away, folks.

Fallout 76 is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
