Battlefield 5 battle royale uses fire to constrain combat space

A new Gamescom trailer shows that Battlefield 5 battle royale combat space is constrained by fire.

The trailer, is more about the game’s new Rotterdam map and all-around destruction, though does tease the game’s new battle royale mode near the 1:36 mark.

“From the shattered streets of Rotterdam to the burning sands of North Africa, Battlefield will never be the same,” the trailer’s description reads.

While maps are great, the fiery effect seen near the end of the trailer is simply breathtaking, as beautiful as it is horrific.

We’ll have more on Battlefield 5′s battle royale mode as it’s detailed.

Battlefield 5 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 in October. We prepared a post with all you need to know about the game right here.
