Battlefield 2042 heads to EA Play, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

And it starts with Season 3.

Battlefield 2042 will head to EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription programs when it launches its third season, EA and DICE have today declared.

Season 3 will continue work on Specialist and Classes revamps, add new weapons, map reworks and more.

“At the start of Season 3, we’re bringing Bad Company 2’s XM8 into the LMG pool, alongside Battlefield 3’s A-91, with more Vault Weapons arriving in further updates during the Season,” a new post reads. “These classic weapons will sit alongside all new hardware that the team have developed for Season 3.”

We don’t know exactly when Season 3 will launch as yet, though it’s said to be in a “few weeks” time. We’ll let you know more when available.

Battlefield 2042 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5; we reviewed it here.
