Batman Arkham Origins voice actor teases Game Awards reveal

Update: Looks like the actor was referring to a surprise Apex Legends holiday event. Sadface.

Original story: Batman Arkham Origins voice actor Roger Craig Smith, the voice of Batman in the Warner Bros Montreal action adventure title, has teased a reveal at The Game Awards later today.

“Keep them eyes and ears on [The Game Awards] tonight,” he tweeted. “Got a little somethin’ we’re cookin’ up for ya…”

While it should be noted that Smith is also a voice actor in franchises including Sonic the Hedgehog, Apex Legends and Assassin’s Creed, it’s believed his tease is referencing a rumoured Batman Arkham game that focuses on the nefaroius Court of Owls.

Long-running Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy, the actor responsible for the role of Batman in every other Batman Arkham title apart from Origins, has confirmed that he’s not a part of any Court of Owls game. With Conroy out of the picture, it makes sense that Smith would reprise the role.

We’ll find out what Smith was referring to soon enough; The Game Awards start at 12.30pm AEDT today, 13 December.
