Australian retailers receive more PS4s before Christmas, but they’re likely already earmarked for other customers

Sony Computer Entertainment Australia’s Michael Ephraim said late last week that Australian retailers will get more PS4 stock before Christmas… but don’t expect to walk into your favourite store and be able to pick one up without a pre-order.

“I’ve never seen demand like we are seeing now with PlayStation 4,” Ephraim said. “Even though we are getting more PS4 consoles in before Christmas, our retail partners tell us that they don’t expect many to be left on the shelves by the time Christmas comes. We will continue to supply the demand, starting in January and every subsequent month until we satisfy Australia’s appetite for PS4.”

Ephraim understands just how hard the wait will be on some gamers. “In the meantime, we thank our fans for their patience – we promise PS4 is worth the wait,” he continued.

In short, if you want a PS4 and don’t have one yet, get pre-ordering.
