More consoles are coming.

Update [22 August 2024]: Microsoft has today detailed pricing and availability of two new discless 1TB Xbox Series consoles and a larger 2TB Xbox Series X.

You can expect the three new console SKUs from 15 October here in Australia.

  • Xbox Series X 1TB Digital Edition: $699 AUD
  • Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition: $999 AUD

American and European pricing is below.

Original story [10 June 2024]: Microsoft didn’t show off a new handheld console, nor did it talk about the console that’ll follow the Series S and X, but it did announce three new Xbox Series SKUs as part of its Summer Game Fest livestream today.

Of the three new Series consoles, two are all digital — the Xbox Series X 1TB Digital Edition (in Robot White), and the Xbox Series S 1TB in Robot White. A third new console, the Xbox Series X 2TB Black Special Edition, will possess a disc drive.

Pricing on the three new SKUs is as follows:

  • Xbox Series S 1TB in Robot White – $349.99 USD/€349.99 ERP
  • Xbox Series X 1TB Digital Edition – $449.99 USD/€499.99 ERP
  • Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition – $599.99 USD/€649.99 ERP

The consoles will be available in “select markets,” according to Microsoft — we’ve reached out in regards to Australian availability and pricing.

As for what’s next from Xbox? We don’t know yet, but president Sarah Bond said, “we’re hard at work on the next generation,” as part of today’s showcase.
