Australian GeForce Now beta coming soon, full launch in October

And if you want in on the beta, you have to gamify your application.

An Australian GeForce Now beta is about to take place ahead of a full rollout planned for October 2021.

Our local implementation is handled by Perth-based ISP Pentanet, who are also gamifying the beta process with a series of beta quests intended to collect data on hopefuls.

“Once everything goes to plan, and we are satisfied we have done everything we can, we expect to be able to launch the GeForce Now… cloud gaming service in Australia from October of this year,” said Pentanet’s Stephen Cornish.

To apply to take part in the beta, you’ll need to head here and register. Pentanet will select beta participants “after reviewing and ranking XP,” meaning you’ll have to be prepared to watch a series of videos featuring Cornish alongside surveys asking for your income details and more.

Pentanet GeForce Now servers will initially be located in Perth and Sydney ahead of a full rollout, though Pentanet is looking for “a diverse group of testers across many tech specs, internet services, devices and locations.”

Once the national release is locked in, “Priority access will be given to Beta Testers, Pentanet internet subscribers, and active Cloud.GG users.”

“This is where the importance of XP will become apparent, with early supporters being rewarded for their ongoing support of Pentanet,” the ISP divulged.
