Aussies have clocked up 1 billion hours on PlayStation this year

Aussies have spent more then 1 billion hours, collectively (of course), on PlayStation in the last twelve months, Sony today advised.

According to the publisher, Aussies have increased their time playing games, watching TV and movies and listing to music on PlayStation by a whopping 26% as compared to the  twelve month period prior.

That’s a lot of time in front of the TV, you guys — to put that in perspective, one person would have to spend over 100,000 years to hit that same figure.

The news comes as PlayStation Australia opens its PlayFest 2017 event.

For more, generalised Aussie gaming statistics, hit up IGEA’s Digital Australia Report 2018.

What have you spent the most time on this year on your PS4? It’s a tie between Horizon: Zero Dawn and Resident Evil 7 for this humble writer.
