Assassin’s Creed Origins 60FPS update coming this week

To both PS5 and Xbox Series S & X consoles.

An Assassin’s Creed Origins 60FPS update will head to both PS5 and Xbox Series consoles later this week, Ubisoft has confirmed.

Available from 3 June here in Australia, that appears to be the extent of the update.

Current-gen consoles don’t quite hit proper 4K resolution when running Origins, and it doesn’t appear that this update will correct that. Nonetheless, a 60 frames-per-second boost is a welcome addition to the title.

Our very own Jay Ball reviewed Origins WAY back in 2017, saying changes that it introduced to the tried-and-true formula of the Assassin’s Creed franchise made it a “must have”.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is out now on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5; this new update only applies to current-gen consoles.
