Apex Legends Mobile beta tests begin soon

Australia misses out on the initial rounds.

Apex Legends Mobile beta testing will begin later in the year and start with India and the Phillipines, EA and Respawn have declared.

The mobile version of the title will be removed from the version that works across PC and consoles.

Apex Legends Mobile is specially designed for touchscreens, with streamlined controls and thoughtful optimizations that result in the most advanced battle royale combat available on a phone,” Apex Legends Game Director, Chad Grenier, said. “It’s a new version of Apex Legends, but it’s true to the original.”

The title will remain free-to-play but will not offer cross-play with PC and consoles because of the differences Grenier explained.

Beta tests will begin in the two initial regions near the middle of this year and will initially focus on Android devices. New regions — and hopefully iOS devices — will be slowly added in time.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more of Apex Legends Mobile.
