Anthem update 1.1.0 lets you change out gear in a mission

Anthem update 1.1.0 is now live, and with it Freelancers can finally swap out gear in the middle of a mission. Can you believe it?

The update also lets Freelancers select contracts from the start of a exposition screen. Or, you know, things that players expected at launch, aligning with other competing looter shooters.

These are admittedly huge changes; the Forge is available to Freelancers while in a mission, Stronghold or in freeplay, meaning weaponry and enhancements can be swapped out. This is something we begged for in our review.

Moreover, the Sunken Cell stronghold is available to all Freelancers who’ve completed the game’s campaign. Moreover, three new universal masterwork components have been added: an extended special arms magazine, an extended sniper magazine and rapid hollow points. Each component increases damage by 30 percent.

You can read a full list of patch notes here.

Anthem is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
