Yikes...
Update [11.35 am AEDT]: The PlayStation Network Service Status page has announced that PlayStation Network services are back up and running.
Original post: The PlayStation Network has been down for eight hours (at the time of writing, 7.00 pm AEDT), twenty-two hours at the time of this update (9.00 am AEST 9 February), with no word from Sony yet on when it could return.
Users flocked to social media asking, “is the PlayStation Network down?” all morning today, before Sony itself updated the PSN Service Status page to confirm fears at 11.00 am AEDT on 8 February.
No further updates have been provided by Sony since that time.
Users will not be able to login to PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PS5, or their PSN accounts on PlayStation website. Gaming and social services, PlayStation Video, and the PlayStation Store are also impacted.
Time to jump on Steam, Xbox, or Switch if you want a gaming fix today, it seems.
