Aliens have landed in Fallout 76’s latest patch

Beware the invasion!

A new Fallout 76 patch has introduced aliens into the world of Appalachia.

“Every hour on the hour, an Alien Mothership will appear above one of several high-profile Appalachian locations to deploy three Brainwave Siphons in the area, which then gather brainwaves from nearby lifeforms in the Brainwave Extraction process,” Bethesda said of the update and its seasonal event. “To trigger the event, travel to the Mothership’s location and examine Siphon Kappa.”

After the event is started, players will be tasked to destroy three total siphons before the aliens can accomplish their tasks. Every siphon is first protected by a force field controlled by an alien commander. Adds will first need to be dispatched, then the commander, and then the siphon.

Rewards for accomplishing the feat include XP and loot alongside new alien weaponry and C.A.M.P. object plans.

Fallout 76 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4 and PS5. It’s available on PC and Xbox through the Xbox Game Pass subscription program.
