Alan Wake Remastered release date set for 5 October

That Taiwanese retailer was telling the truth.

The Alan Wake Remastered release date has been locked in for 5 October, matching the date leaked by a a Taiwanese retailer earlier in the month.

The title will be published by Epic Games and heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5 at that time.

Alan Wake Remastered is the graphically enhanced version of the original game first released in 2010,” Remedy’s Sam Lake said on the PlayStation Blog.

“Now, we are bringing you the complete Alan Wake experience, including the two story-expansions The Signal and The Writer, originally released as DLCs, with all-new 4K visuals, updated environments, cutscenes, and a brand-new making-of commentary where I take a trip down memory lane.”

Lake confirmed that current-gen versions of the title will run at 4K and 60FPS (frames per second). The PS4 Pro will offer Performance (60FPS) and Quality (4K and 30FPS) modes; the Xbox One X will likely do the same, though that wasn’t detailed in a similar announcement post on Xbox Wire.

Alan Wake Remastered heads to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5 on 5 October.
