Alan Wake 2 targeting October release, according to Alan Wake

So says Wake's voice actor, Matthew Porretta.

Alan Wake 2 is supposedly targeting an October 2023 release, according to longtime Wake voice actor Matthew Porretta.

Porretta, who has voiced Wake in Alan Wake, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, Quantum Break and Control, made the revelation to the Monsters, Madness and Magic podcast.

“I’ve been working — and will be working more — on Alan Wake 2,” Porretta told the podcast. “I think it’s supposed to be coming out in October, but I don’t know the exact time of that.”

While obviously not confirmed by Remedy, a spooky October release date coinciding with Halloween would certainly make sense.

Back in April, Remedy said Alan Wake 2 was in its final stage of full production; a playable demo is supposed to drop ahead of the game itself.

Alan Wake 2 was finally announced back in December 2021. The title is expected in 2023 on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PS5.
