Achievements are coming back to the Xbox mobile app

FINALLY.

Achievements will return to the Xbox mobile app as part of a staggered rollout taking place in March, Microsoft has today confirmed.

Achievements were removed from the Xbox app as part of an update that prepared the app for the launch of the Xbox Series S & X. The update also removed the Store and purchase capabilites from the app.

“Achievements are returning! We heard the fan feedback that our community wants achievements brought into in the Xbox app on mobile,” Microsoft advised. “This month we’re testing various achievement experiences in the app, starting with a limited set of players and then rolling out to everyone.”

Achievements will be presented in the form of a list of Achievements per game, details screens and Achievement unlock notifications. Leaderboards will make their return in the next few months.

Are you excited for the return of Achievements on the Xbox app? We sure are!
