ACB to review RimWorld after March’s refused classification

The Australian Classification Board (ACB) has agreed to review its March 2022 ruling on RimWorld, in which the title was refused classification.

The ACB confirmed it will meet on 20 April to “consider” the review application. Those wishing to apply for standing as an interested party to review need to do so before 18 April.

“Good news! The Australian Classification Board it going to review their ruling which banned RimWorld from sale in Australia,” said RimWorld creator Tynan Sylvester in the wake of the announcement.

“We’ve got some legal professionals and expert witnesses helping out, so I’m optimistic. Thanks everyone for your support on this,” Sylvester continued.

We’ll let you know how the review goes.

RimWorld is currently available on Windows PC, Mac and Linux.
