2019 Video Game Hall of Fame inductees include Super Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat

The National Museum of Play has announced the 2019 World Video Game Hall of Game inductees.

This year’s titles include Mortal Kombat, Super Mario Kart, Colossal Cave Adventure and Microsoft Windows Solitaire.

All inductees “significantly affected the video game industry, popular culture, and society in general,” the National Museum of Play said. Other inductees in the Video Game Hall of Fame include the likes of Resident Evil, Final Fantasy VII, Sonic the Hedgehog, Grand Theft Auto III, The Legend of Zelda, The Oregon Trail, The Sims, Space Invaders, Doom, Pac-Man, Pong, Super Mario Bros., Tetris, World of Warcraft, John Madden Football and Tomb Raider.
