1TB Black Xbox Series S coming for $550 AUD

Worth it?

A new 1TB Black Xbox Series S was today announced at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, and will set Aussies back $550 AUD.

Available from 12 September 2023 — just in time for Starfield — the new console is available for pre-order now… just not in Australia.

Over in the USA, that price equates to $349.99 USD.

If you’re unsure of the differences between the Xbox Series S and the Xbox Series X, the S is the slightly underpowered sibling when compared to its big brother. It’s not capable of true 4K gameplay, maxing out at a native 1440p, but it sports the same quick loading times as the priceier option. We’ve covered a bunch of the similarities and differences as part of our big Xbox Series review.

We’ll let you know when Aussie pre-orders are being taken.
