12 Minutes is all about an amazing time loop

12 Minutes was today announced by Annapurna Interactive at the Microsoft Xbox E3 2019 press conference, and looks absolutely incredible.

It’s about a man in a time loop who seemingly is reliving a 12 minute segment of the day over and over. In it, the man finds out his wife is pregnant, his wife’s long-lost father is still alive… and well, a lot more. It’s a ton of information to process.

“You take the role of the husband, on what should be a romantic evening with your wife. The night turns into a nightmare when a police detective breaks into your home, accuses your wife of murder and beats you to death,” the game’s website says. “Only for you to find yourself immediately returned to the exact moment you opened the front door, stuck in a TWELVE-MINUTE time loop, doomed to relive the same terror again and again…

“Unless you can find a way to use the knowledge of what’s coming to change the outcome and break the loop.”

You can check out 12 Minutes in action below.

12 Minutes heads to Windows PC and Xbox One at a later date. For once, PS4 fans miss out.
