New Halo 3 Acrophobia Skull lets players fly: Here’s how to unlock it

A new Halo 3 Acrophobia Skull was introduced alongside the game’s debut inside Halo The Master Chief Collection on PC and lets players fly. Like, literally.

The new Skull is available on both Xbox One and PC but has to be unlocked before use. To earn it, players will need to kill 343 flying enemies inside Halo 3‘s campaign on Normal difficulty or higher. Whlie that sounds tricky, there’s an easy way to get this done, as follows:

  1. Start the mission called The Storm on Normal difficulty or higher
  2. Proceed to the point where a dropship will release a swarm of flying Yanme’e (also called Drones or Buggers)
  3. Defeat the enemies and reload the checkpoint
  4. Rinse, repeat

There’s also a Rocket Launcher in the same room if you feel like having a blast; the video below shows how it’s done.

Once unlocked, the Acrophobia Skull can be used inside other Halo titles found inside MCC.

Halo The Master Chief Collection is available now on Windows PC and Xbox One; the Windows PC release has yet to add Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4.
