Stevivor’s Switch GOTY 2018: Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee

Stevivor’s Game of the Year (GOTY) awards continue today with our award for the best Switch exclusive of 2018.

Switch exclusives usually come in the form of first-party titles from Nintendo, and this year’s no exception. Stevivor staffers chose Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee as this year’s winner.

“Pokémon Let’s Go mightn’t be for hardcore, competitive fans, but it will certainly win over everyone else,” Steve wrote in his review. “A vast majority of the changes are certainly for the better.”

Why not Super Smash Bros. Ultimateyou ask? We’ll chalk that up to its release date — we had to get our votes sorted for this (and for The Game Awards) and at the time of voting, hardly any staffers had the opportunity to play this month’s blockbuster. Unsurprisingly, though, it came a close second.
