Countdown: 2016’s top PC-exclusive games

Dead by Daylight

We move away from sci-fi with a trip down horror lane.

Since reading Luke’s review of Dead by Daylight, I’ve been enamoured with the title. Playing as a helpless survivor or — quite literally — the embodiment of Halloween‘s Michael Myers, it’s hunt or be hunted. It sounds delicious.

See? Sign me up.

Planet Coaster

Planet Coaster seems so good, readers got mad at Harry for talking it up as much as he did in his review, awarding it an 8/10.

He made the right call, by the way — the people seemingly angry are ones who totally love the genre, and that’s what that score range is for.

I happen to be in a fan of the park simulator, so Planet Coaster seems to be one I jump into straight away.

XCOM 2

Console gamers shed a tear at the start of the year, when Firaxis declared that XCOM 2 would be a PC-only affair…

…then rejoiced when XCOM 2 was released on Xbox One and PS4 before the year was up.

“Unanimously, we wanted procedure. The procedural nature and how we were going to structure it went hand-in-hand with [PC],” Firaxis’ Greg Foertsch told Stevivor in Sydney. “At the time, the new consoles weren’t out, and modding on a console, well, still hasn’t been done, really.”

That changed quickly, eh? Okay then — nevermind.

What’d we miss?
