Stevivor’s Game of the Year (GOTY) 2017 continues with another action-packed category: Best Racing or Sports title.
This one proved an easy win for Nintendo’s release of Mario Kart 8 on Switch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
It’s not the most technical title out there, but Mario Kart is always fun. In groups or solo, there’s a simply joy in hopping, grinding and lobbing green shells at Nintendo’s loveable characters. And, as our review states, the return of Battle Mode is simply glorious.
Honourable mentions in this category go to Forza Motorsport 7 (PC, Xbox One) and The Golf Club 2 (PC, Xbox One, PS4).
