One last week of our GOTY awards program.
We’re finishing up our third and final week of the Stevivor Game of the Year (GOTY) 2025 awards program with honours for best direction this year.
Cleaning up in yet another category, Stevivor staffers chose to award Clair Obscur Expedition 33 with the gong today.
“All this might lead you to think that Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is all doom and gloom, but the game is true to its name: ‘clair obscur’ is the French version of the term chiaroscuro, which describes the use of light and shade in a picture or painting,” Matt said in his review.
“Similarly, Expedition 33 makes sure to balance its heavier moments with lighter beats as well, giving both the player and the party moments of rest between the game’s dramatic beats,” Matt continued.
Coming in second and third, respectively, were Supergiant’s Hades 2 and Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding 2 On the Beach.
We only have two Game of the Year 2025 awards left to distribute; join us for the rest of the week, why don’t you?
