Microsoft cancels Platinum Games’ Scalebound

Microsoft today confirmed that it has cancelled Platinum Games’ Scalebound.

“After careful deliberation, Microsoft Studios has come to the decision to end production for “Scalebound.” We’re working hard to deliver an amazing lineup of games to our fans this year, including “Halo Wars 2,” “Crackdown 3,” “State of Decay 2,” “Sea of Thieves” and other great experiences,” the publisher said in a recent statement.

The news comes after hours of rumours the game had been shuttered. Of late, Scalebound was absent from an Xbox Wire post detailing upcoming games.

We’ll have more from Platinum Games on the cancellation as it becomes available.
