Xbox One Preview Program Update: Cortana, improved My Games & Apps and more

Microsoft has today detailed the Xbox One’s upcoming Preview Program update.

The company’s digital assistant, Cortana, will headline the release. She’ll be able to be used to find out what you’re friends are doing, start Parties and more.

Cortana will be launched with “Hey, Cortana” — the same command used on desktops and phones. Cortana can be controlled via headset or Kinect.

The update will also be able to show players what they’re friends are doing at the same time, be it on Xbox One or Windows PC.

Best of all, the release will feature a revamped My Games & Apps section, something that’s been promised for quite some time.

Check out these features and more in the video below:

The Xbox One Preview Program update will be available this winter.

Update: Major Nelson has taken to Twitter to say the update is being released right now, in waves:

Expect it soon if you’re in the program!
