All four Gears of War Xbox 360 games to come free with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition

There’s plenty of news on the Xbox 360 backwards compatibility front today, with Microsoft confirming that those who buy Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will also receive the franchise’s back catalogue via Xbox 360 backwards compatibility.

Those that buy Ultimate Edition between 25 August and 31 December will be eligible for the free titles, which include Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3 (currently available via Xbox’s Games with Gold) and Gears of War: Judgment.

The Xbox 360 titles join the list of backwards compatible titles that will be available when the functionality launches for all users. Also joining that list is the side-scroller Shadow Complex.
